My artist models

Edward Henry Weston was a 20th-century American photographer. He has been called "one of the most innovative and influential American photographers around at the time and "one of the masters of 20th century photography." He's photos are what I want to use to create some of my own. He does black and white photography too and uses shadows to give his photos more depth.

Ralph Steiner was an American photographer and a film maker in the 1930's. I love his use of shadows in his pictures and how lighting is used. The picture of the chair really caught my eye because of all the lines used. I want to try and use that in my pictures to give them more depth.

Using Shadows

These are two out of many photo's that I took today. I like these ones because you can really see the shadows and I also the lighting too.

Samuel and Dayna did an amazing job at helping me with this :) thanks guys!

So, my plan for this week.. Hopefully

This week im going to be working very hard to get some photos done. My teacher gave me the idea of using the music room or the hall to take the rest of my photo's and it would be better to have some space. Also, I need to be using shadows and lighting a lot more and that is the best place to do it because the lighting there is pretty good.

I was also thinking that since I will be working in there I thought that I could used the piano that is in there. Since, I used to play it when I was younger it will work in well with my concept. Also, the repetition of the keys, that will work in well with my artist models.

So, yeah.. Im excited about this week and I hope everything works out fine. I will be taking some photo's tonight hopefully and I hope that they turn out okay.
