Proof sheet

These are my photo's from my last photo shot. I wanted to base these photos on the whole object instead of only taking a photo of half of it.

  1. 260 and 261 are interesting because of the way they contrast against the others of the same item from the other view point. i like the idea of this as a feature of works in your folio. the dress looks so stark and kind of reminds me of a Seraphine Pick painting. Whilst she is a painter and not a photographer, you could pick up on her as a model in terms of concept; she did a series of works that focussed on memories and how they get blurred or forgotten over time fading into the background. there is a small catalogue book in the shelves in the room called 'Scratching Skin' that could be useful for you to look at. Blanching your photos white or using lighting to create that kind of effect would be a good idea too, to experiment with. It would match up with the memories of your grandfather, as your love of fashion and your childhood memories in one foul swoop. Have a look for the book when you are next in. I am away today but back Wednesday and Thursday is no more assessment week, so class as normal. Good work Brooke:)
